City of Williamsburg announces voter registration deadline

The City of Williamsburg has announced 4:30 p.m. April 9 as the voter registration deadline for the May 1 City Council election.

Three City Council seats will be decided in the election. Voters must be 18 on or before May 1 to register to vote. 

Registered voters who won't be available May 1 may apply for an absentee ballot by mail until April 24 and apply for an absentee ballot in person by April 28.

A forum featuring candidates for City Council will be held at 7 p.m. April 10 at the Stryker Building, 412 N. Boundary St., Williamsburg.
