Williamsburg Presbyterian Church seek volunteers to feed the homeless

Williamsburg Presbyterian Church is seeking volunteers to help with its Feeding the Homeless project on Friday, June 1.

On that day, the church will serve a hot meal to homeless people temporarily housed at the Family Inn.

Volunteers will prepare lasagna or provide fresh fruit and cookies. Youth from the church continue to package ready-to-eat items such as microwave popcorn, ramen noodles, granola bars and fruit cups.

The congregation has been serving around 40 people each month. You can drop off food items at the Family Inn display in Stevenson Hall in the church building at 227 Richmond Road in Williamsburg.

The Family Inn is at 5413 Airport Road in Williamsburg.

To volunteer, send an email Ellen Maurer at sdmaurer@verizon.net, or Joyce Patterson at joycepatterson504@hotmail.com.
