Peninsula Crime Line to honor law enforcement on June 28

Peninsula Crime Line will host an honor program for law enforcement officers and civilian employees on June 28.

The event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina.

Officers and employees to be honored are from the Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg police departments, as well as the James City County and York-Poquoson sheriff’s offices.

Peninsula Crime Line will honor these workers for protecting area neighborhoods and businesses. 

Ticket prices are $35 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

The Peninsula Crime Line Inc. is a private, civilian-based, all-volunteer organization that pays cash rewards for anonymously provided information that helps law enforcement solve crimes.

Donations from businesses, organizations and citizens are used to pay these rewards and operate the program are tax deductible.

The Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina is at 700 Settlers Landing Road in Hampton.
