City of Williamsburg to hold City Council's swearing-in ceremony and meeting

Williamsburg will hold the the City Council's swearing-in ceremony and organizational meeting at the Courthouse of 1770 at 11:45 a.m. Monday, July 2.

Michael E. McGinty, the presiding judge of the Williamsburg-James City County Circuit Court, will administer the oath of office to council members Paul T. Freiling, Clyde A. Haulman and Judith N. Knudson.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the City Council will elect the the mayor and vice mayor during its organizational meeting.

Both events are open to the public, though seating is limited.

The Courthouse of 1770 is at 101 W. Duke of Gloucester St. n Colonial Williamsburg’s Historic Area.
