William & Mary offer Advanced Placement Summer Institute

The College of William & Mary is offering an Advanced Placement Summer Institute from July 30 to Aug. 3.

The institute is for beginning or future AP teachers. The institute will feature information on how to plan and implement more effective AP programs in schools. Participants will explore the content, structure and grading of AP course and exams. Teachers are also able to interact with one another. The course is for teachers who have never taught an AP course or teachers who have taught an AP course for less than 3 years.

The courses offered are in the following subjects: Biology, calculus AB/BC, chemistry, English language and composition, English literature and composition, environmental science, French, Spanish, macroeconomics, psychology, physics B&C, U.S. government and politics, U.S. history, European history, world history and statistics.

Participants will receive a certificate indicating the number of hours of instruction participated in.

The college is located at 102 Richmond Road, Williamsburg.
