Hickory Neck Church to host vacation bible school in August

Hickory Neck Church will hold Vacation Bible School from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 6 through Aug. 10.

The program is for children ages 3 through those completing fifth grade from Bruton, St. Martin’s and Hickory Neck Churches. Participants will sing, create, talk, write, play, listen and walk. They will be encouraged to create their own prayers, songs, games or other ways to express themselves.

The registration fee is $15 for the first child, $10 for a second child and a maximum of $25 per family. Fees will assist in providing snacks and materials.

The program is in need of adult volunteers to help with decorations, registration, music, Bible stories, arts and crafts, recreation, snacks and group guides. Woodworkers are also needed to cut wood materials.

Hickory Neck Episcopal Church is located at 8300 Richmond Road, in Toano.
