Senior Services Coalition to meet at Williamsburg church

The Senior Services Coalition will host a program on senior addiction and driving from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Williamsburg United Methodist Church.

Karl Hoffman from the Center for Aging and Geriatric Health will speak with guests about driving safety. Topics of discussion will include the impact of driving, the importance of independence and how to evaluate driving.

Gina de Peralta Thorne of the Farley Center at Williamsburg Place will give a talk titled An Overview of Addiction: Its Impact on Older Adults and Services. In it Thorne will speak about the treatment program available at the Farley Center, give an overview of addiction and what services are available locally.

The Williamsburg United Methodist Church is located at 500 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg.
