City of Williamsburg has opening within water treatment plant operations

The City of Williamsburg is accepting applications for a full-time, entry level operator IV/trainee.

According to its press release, the employee will be responsible for performing semi-skilled work in the operation of the water treatment plant, water pumping and storage facilities. 

The position involves working various shifts and entails inspecting pumping stations, storage facilities and treatment plant for proper operation, reading meters, gauges and thermometers, and keeping accurate records of readings, assisting in the collection and storage of water samples, and operating manual valves.

The starting salary is $26,520 and offers a benefits package.

Prospective candidates must have a Virginia state driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent. If hired, the employee must obtain a water treatment plant operator's license.
