B.W. Webb earns another preseason All-America honor

William and Mary senior cornerback B.W. Webb has picked up another preseason honor.

Webb has been named to the College Sporting News Preseason All-American team as a second-team selection.

He is already on the Buck Buchanan Award Watch list, which features 20 of the nation's top defensive players in the Football Championship Subdivision, and he was named a preseason All-American by the Sports Network. Webb is also a preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association pick.

Webb is coming off of a season in which he earned first-team All-Conference honors for the second consecutive year. The Newport News native racked up 40 tackles and picked off two passes.

Webb has earned six All-Conference postseason honors in his stellar career for the Tribe and has come up with 11 interceptions, the eighth-best total in program history. He will have a chance to showcase his skills for the first time in 2012 when the Tribe kicks off its season Saturday, Sept. 1 in a nonconference road game against Maryland.
