Jamestown student awarded scholarship

Abby Hunt, a recent graduate of Jamestown High School, received the Chickahominy Ruritan Club's Andy Rutherford Scholarship.

The Andy Rutherford Scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating student attending Jamestown, Lafayette or Warhill schools. Each year, the winner of the Andy Rutherford Scholarship receives $1,000 to attend the school of his or her choice.

Hunt plans to attend the College of William and Mary, located at 102 Richmond Road, in Williamsburg, in the fall.

Jamestown High school is located at 3751 John Tyler Highway, in Williamsburg.
