DJ Montague Elementary School releases kindergarten supply list

DJ Montague Elementary School released its list of required and optional supplies for kindergarten students for the 2012-2013 school year.

Required items include: one or two 4 oz. bottles of school glue, one pack of large purple glue sticks, two washable markers (classic colors), one eight-count box of large crayons, one 24-count box of crayons, one box of colored pencils and one pack of watercolors.

Supplies may need to be replenished during the school year. A reminder will be sent home.

Items on the following wish list are optional. Donations of these items will be accepted.

Wish list items include: snack-, gallon- and quart-size zipper bags, tissues, disinfectant wipes, paper plates, paper lunch bags and a labeled backpack large enough to hold a daily folder and a lunchbox (no wheels).

The school asks parents to please not write their child's name on the items.

Items and donations from these lists should be brought to school during the open house, scheduled from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 30.

Special projects during the school year may require additional supplies. Teacher's will send letters to request donations.

The school year for Williamsburg-James City County Schools begins Sept. 4.
