Youth tennis tournament set at Williamsburg Parks and Recreation

The Williamsburg Parks and Recreation Department, along with Brent Hughes of the Williamsburg Elite 10s Academy, is offering three match play tennis shootout sessions during August.

All three sessions will be held at the Kiwanis Tennis Courts, and are open to middle school and high school students who are intermediate level and tournament level tennis players. The sessions are not for beginners.

Each session will include supervised match play action, and players will get tips and learn game strategies.

The cost for each three-day session is $75 per person or $30 for a one-day drop-in. Session one is scheduled for Aug. 14-16 from 8:45-11:30 a.m. The second session is slated for Aug. 21-23 from 8:45-11:30 a.m. and the third session is Aug. 28-30 from 8:45-11:30 a.m.

Registration can be done in person at the Quarterpath Recreation Center or by calling 757-259-3760. The rec center is located at 202 Quarterpath Road in Williamsburg.
