United Way's 2012 Day of Caring to be held Sept. 14
The United Way's 2012 Day of Caring will take place Friday, Sept. 14.
The event provides volunteers to nonprofit organizations to help with projects. It seeks to mobilize as many volunteers as possible to help with the service day and support local agencies and schools.
Projects can range from delivering meals and helping with food or diaper drives to repairing windows, building cabinets or painting.
The United Way is looking for individuals who would like to volunteer and organizations that have projects they would like help with. Projects will take place at many different locations.
The event begins with a kickoff breakfast that brings volunteers and representatives from different agencies and organizations together.
The United Way of Greater Williamsburg is located at 5400 Discovery Park Blvd., Suite 104, Williamsburg.
