Moonlight and Music to be held Aug. 30 at New Quarter Park

A Moonlight and Music event will be held later this month at New Quarter Park.

A Moonlight and Music event will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at New Quarter Park.

Local musicians and music lovers are invited to attend and share blues and roots music. Attendees are welcome to bring a guitar, fiddle or other acoustic instruments and join in the jam at the park shelters next to the parking lot. Instrumentalists of all levels and genres are welcome.

Local musician Joe Duggan will lead the event, which will proceed in a round robin fashion.

The full moon will rise at 7 p.m.

This event is the second-to-last Moonlight and Music gathering of the season. The final event will be held Friday, Sept. 28.

New Quarter Park is located at 1000 Lakeshead Drive, in Williamsburg.
