Williamsburg runner completes River Valley Ranch 10K Trail Run

Samantha Bean, 26, of Williamsburg completed the River Valley Ranch 10K Trail Run in 1:07:20.

The event was held on Aug. 11 in Manchester, Md., where a total of 647 runners finished the 10K race.

The race is Maryland's premier trail running event, and was rated the No. 4 10K run by SeriousRunning.com, and a Top Ten 10K in America by Active.com.

Kevin Pitts of Bethesda, Md., was the men's overall winner with a time of 40:48, while Catherine Panasenkov of Gaithersburg , Md., was the winner in the women's category with 49:57.
