Geratowski joins Tribe lacrosse coaching staff

William and Mary recently hired M.K. Geratowski as an assistant lacrosse coach, under head mentor Brooke Ireland.

"I am excited to bring M.K. on board and become part of the Tribe lacrosse family, Ireland said in a press release. "I am fortunate to have an individual who has been very successful on every level in the lacrosse world, including collegiate, club, Division I, Division III and international."

Geratowski spent last season as an assistant coach at Washington and Lee University, helping lead the squad to an ODAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Division III tournament.

"I want to thank Brooke, the search committee, and athletics director Terry Driscoll for this opportunity to work with the lacrosse program here at William & Mary," Geratowski said in a statement. "I am so excited to work with the high level student-athletes both on and off the field in order to continue the great women's lacrosse tradition here."

Geratowski spent one season as a volunteer assistant at the University of Richmond, where she served as the defensive coordinator and helped the Spiders post a 10-9 record overall and a 6-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play.

She also served as an assistant coach at Connecticut College in 2010 and has coached a number of club teams.

During her own athletic career, Geratowski was a standout on the Elmira College lacrosse and ice hockey teams. In lacrosse, she was a team captain during her senior year and earned the squad's MVP award. She was named to the Empire 8 All-Sportsmanship Team.

Following her collegiate career, Geratowski played and coached in England for one season. She was a member of the Hitchin Sprites Lacrosse Club and was the head lacrosse coach for Princess Helena College, where she oversaw four teams. She led the 19-U team to the semifinals of the Division III national tournament.
