Park View football draws to scoreless tie with King William in scrimmage
The Park View High School football season began its with a 0-0 tie in a scrimmage Aug. 17 at King William. The Dragons will next play its first season game at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at home against Warhill. The Lions, ranked 124th overall in the state of Virginia, will be playing their first game of the season as well. Park View, listed 173rd statewide, will try once again to get on the scoreboard with its first home game. Park View will then have a 7 p.m. game Friday, Aug. 31 at Jamestown, before returning home for another 7 p.m. meeting Friday, Sept. 7 against Bluestone. A 7:30 p.m. visit Friday, Sept. 14 to Colonial Heights is next, followed by a trip back home for a 7 p.m. game Friday, Sept. 21 to take on Southampton. Park View High School is at 205 Park View Circle, South Hill.
