ShinDIG at Jamestown to be held Sept. 26

The ShinDIG at Jamestown will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 on Jamestown Island.   The event will benefit the Jamestown Rediscovery Project of Historic Jamestowne.   The event will feature The Who Ever Shows Up Band performing at the Dale House Cafe. The Williamsburg-based band includes archaeology director Bill Kelso on banjo, Doug Burgoyne on guitar, Jack Cowardin on fiddle, Rob Foos on dobro, Bobby Hornsby on bass, Rennie Howard on banjo, Ellen Kelso on bass and Steve Robertson on guitar.   A barbecue dinner will be provided by Carrot Tree Kitchens. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase. No coolers are allowed.   Gates open at 6 p.m. Seating will be provided.   Tickets cost $27 per person and include dinner.
