Williamsburg runner completes East Coast Surfing Championships 8K
Benjamin Abel, of Williamsburg, completed the East Coast Surfing Championships 8K in 48:54.
The event was held Aug. 25 in Virginia Beach.
A total of 271 runners finished the 8K race, which started on Atlantic Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets.
John Botti, of Norfolk, was the men's overall winner with a time of 28:29, while Catherine Williams, of Virginia Beach, was the winner in the women's division with 32:38.
