Twenty-two Williamsburg runners complete Smart Smiles 5K

Twenty-two runners from Williamsburg completed the Smart Smiles 5K on August 18 in Newport News.

The Williamsburg runners were: Fred B. Greear, 41, who finished with a time of 20:22; Connie Glueck, 48, (21:24); Kevin Clauberg, 42, (21:29); Michael Glueck, 51, (23:33); Jonathan Keyes, 42, (23:50); Michael Labella, 10, (23:51); William Sharer, 65, (24:27); Jimmy C. Blount, 61, (25:02); Louise Sharer, 60, (25:27); Mike Daly, 65, (25:47); Larry Arata, 67, (25:48); Ryan Labella, 10, (25:50); Janice Kailos, 51, (26:28); Mike Labella, 43, (28:08); Ethen Pickles, 10, (28:57); Todd Lins, 55, (29:01); Marvin Smith, 28, (29:15); Maceo Holmes, 24, (30:25); Sara Larsen, 14, (31:45); Page Freer, 32, (32:09); Lindsay Newcomb, 29, (32:58); and Ann Manciagli, 76, (36:38).

A total of 216 finished the 5K race, which started in Mariners Museum Park. All the proceeds of the race went to the Boys & Girls Delta Dentals Smart Smiles at the Dentist Dental Program, which provides the youth with free dental services.

Blaine O'Reilly, of Hayes, was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:58, while Rene Vanhooijdonk, of Chesapeake, was the winner in the women's division with 20:35.
