Eight Williamsburg runners complete Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Mini Marathon.

Eight runners from Williamsburg completed the Rock 'n' Roll Virginia Beach Mini Marathon on Sept. 2 in Virginia Beach.

The Williamsburg runners were Kenneth Mitchell, 67 (22:28); Dan Frezza, 30 (33:19); Erin Murdock, 25 (33:45); Heather Mellis, 43 (38:55); Terri Reed, 52 (41:30); David Heath, 32 (1:56:12); Laura Gallo, 30 (2:56:33); and Patricia Johnson, 62 (3:03:50).

A total of 1,499 runners finished the 5K race, which started at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and ended at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

Grant Wiggins, of Virginia Beach, was the men's overall winner with a time of 17:07, while Hannah Balesi, of Chesapeake, was the winner in the women's category with 20:56.
