Two Yorktown participants complete Patriots Half 2012

Two participants from Yorktown completed the Patriots Half 2012 on Sept. 8 in Williamsburg.

Christapher Lang, 35, completed the race in 5:51:33 (48:48 swim, 2:38:41 bike, 2:19:05 run), while Craig Nickol, 43, crossed the finish line in 6:07:18 (36:47 swim, 3:05:48 bike, 2:15:38 run).

A total of 412 participants joined the race, which is composed of 1.2-mile swim course, 12-mile bike course and 13.1-mile run. The event benefits the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Adam Otstot, of Williamsburg, was the men's overall winner with a total time of 4:14:04, while Jordan McAmmond, of Greensboro, N.C., was the winner in the women's division with a total time of 5:16:15.
