One Williamsburg runners complete Sandman Triathlon

One athlete from Williamsburg completed the Sandman Triathlon on Sept. 16 in Virginia Beach.

Kendrick Lusk, 38, finished with a time of 2:11:38.

A total of 408 finished the 750-meter ocean swim, 14-mile bike, 5K run race, which was held at the Virginia Beach oceanfront.

Derek Russell, of Virginia Beach, was the men's overall winner with a time of 1:12:40, while Emily Eckman, of Virginia Beach, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:27:25.
