Williamsburg runners complete Patriots Sprint

A total of 55 athletes from Williamsburg completed the Patriots Sprint on Sept. 9 in Williamsburg.

The top runners from Williamsburg were Christopher Williams, 21, who finished with a time of 1:12:22; Avery Gillem, 15, 1:20:05; Peter Van Bergen, 53, 1:22:04; Brandon Gibbons, 40, 1:24:04; Sean Oatmeyer, 50, 1:24:27; Connie Glueck, 48, 1:25:07; Michelle Ballin, 30, 1:25:55; and Cameron Teaster, 20, 1:28:16.

A total of 523 finished the 750-meter swim, 20K bike, 5K run race, which was held at Anniversary Park.

Joseph Anderson, of Lynchburg, was the men's overall winner with a time of 1:05:18, while Edith Nault, of Poquoson, was the winner in the women's category with 1:16:06.
