Joe Agee Invitational men's golf results

High Point University was crowned the champion of the Joe Agee Invitational on Sept. 25 at the Williamsburg Club.

The Panthers tallied a score of 861, one stroke better than runner-up Radford. Chase Wilson, of High Point, was named the medalist as he carded a three-round total of 206. Callum Tarren led Radford with a 207.

William and Mary finished third overall with an 873. A total of 11 teams competed in the tournament.

Jeremy Wells led the Tribe with a 212. He shot a 71 in the final round of play and was fourth overall.

Alex Hicks tied for seventh with a 217, while Tanner Taddeo and Michael Bekken both carded scores of 223 to tie for 15th. Nick Schafer filled out the scoring for the Tribe as he checked in with a 228 to tie for 29th.

William and Mary also had four golfers compete as individuals in the tournament. Joey Shroyer tied for 25th (227) and Charlie Kern was 35th with a 231. Patrick Leisure tied for 36th (232) and Charles Godfrey came through with a 238 to tie for 46th.

The Tribe will be back on the course Sunday, Sept. 30 when it competes in the Cobra/Puma Invitational at Miromar Lakes Golf Club in Fort Myers, Fla. The tourney will run through Monday, Oct. 1.
