Seven Williamsburg runners complete Heart of Ghent 10K

Seven athletes from Williamsburg completed the Heart of Ghent 10K on Sept. 22 in Norfolk.

The runners from Williamsburg were: Matthew John Webb, 38, 40:37; Sean Oatmeyer, 50, 43:04; Brenda Barrera, 50, 51:21; Will Harty, 46, 56:59; Ashleigh Burns, 32, 56:59; Shirley Stephens, 55, 58:58; and Harry Crumling, 64, 1:03:13.

A total of 632 finished the 10K race, which was held at Colley Avenue in Ghent.

Ryan Carroll, of Portsmouth, was the men's overall winner with a time of 32:45, while Courtney Chapman, of Norfolk, was the winner in the women's category with 38:10.
