Five Williamsburg runners complete City Point 5K River Run

Five athletes from Williamsburg completed the City Point 5K River Run on Oct. 27 in Hopewell.

The runners from Williamsburg and their finishing times were Nelson Woodley, 18, 23:24; Leigh Gutches, 41, 24:40; Xavier Brown, 18, 26:49; Jill Yates, 39, 33:02; and John Rogers, 60, 52:45.

According to City Point 5K River Run organizers, a total of 394 runners finished the 5K race, which was held at Poythress Street.

Scott Honaker, of Richmond, was the men's overall winner with a time of 16:18, while Charity Spencer, of Chesterfield, was the winner in the women's category finishing with a time of 21:10.
