African American Music scheduled for Nov. 22

The African American Music, sponsored by The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, will be Thursday, Nov. 22 at Great Hopes Plantation in Williamsburg.

Great Hopes Plantation is off Route 132-Y,  across from the visitor center in Colonial Williamsburg.

The event will run from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22. The event will also run from 8:30-9:30 p.m.

"Help keep the rhythms, sing the songs and dance the dances adapted from the West African people in colonial America," according to a press release from the organization. "As you walk the plantation as the sun sets, you will have the opportunity to explore the diverse nature of African American musical culture in Colonial Virginia."
