Montrose Christian School grad Anderson leads Virginia to victory over North-Texas

Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson led the University of Virginia to an 80-64 home victory against the University of North Texas with 14 points.

The game was played Nov. 20 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

The University of Virginia freshman guard also recorded four rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block for the Cavaliers, who improved to 4-2 on the season, according to the University of Virginia's website.

The University of Virginia's next game is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 on the road against the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-12 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December of 2011. The Montross native is the son of Edward and Kim Anderson.
