Five Williamsburg runners complete Toys for Tots Thanksgiving Day 5K

Five athletes from Williamsburg completed the Toys for Tots Thanksgiving Day 5K on Nov. 22 in Newport News.

The runners from Williamsburg and their finishing times were Marshall Ray, 54, 29:39; Amy Finlayson, 28, 31:17; Lanie Finlayson, 30, 31:18; Brenda Ray, 54, 46:24; and Katelyn Salonish, 22, 54:07.

According to Toys for Tots Thanksgiving Day 5K organizers, a total of 917 runners finished the 5K race, which was held at The Mariners' Museum.

Todd Kessler, of Newport News, was the men's overall winner with a time of 17:51, while Karen Terry, also of Newport News, was the winner in the women's category with 18:03.
