Montrose Christian School grad Anderson scores 15 in University of Virginia victory

Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson contributed 15 points in University of Virginia's 67-39 home win against Mississippi Valley State University on Dec. 8 at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.

The freshman guard also recorded nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks for the Cavaliers, who improved to 8-2 on the season.

University of Virginia's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at home against Morgan State University.

Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-2012 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December 2011.
