Montrose Christian grad Anderson contributes to Virginia victory over Morgan State

Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson contributed five points in the University of Virginia's 75-57 home win against Morgan State University on Dec. 19 at JPJA in Charlottesville.

The University of Virginia freshman guard also recorded two rebounds, one assist and a block for the Cavaliers, who improved to 9-2 on the season, according to the University of Virginia's website.

The University of Virginia's next game is at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 on the road against Old Dominion.

Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-12 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December 2011. The Montross native is the son of Edward and Kim Anderson.
