Six Williamsburg runners complete Race Around the Base 10-Mile Run

Six athletes from Williamsburg completed the third annual Race Around the Base 10-Mile Run on Dec. 8 in Langley Air Force Base.

The runners from Williamsburg and their finishing times were Jackson Sasser, 36, 1:22:15; Michael Glueck, 51, 1:31:37; Jason Robertson, 36, 1:35:47; Brooke Robertson, 27, 1:35:48; Larry Arata, 68, 1:43:33; and Michael Seibert, 44, 1:44:15.

According to race organizers, a total of 88 runners finished the 10-mile race, which began and ended at Shellback Fitness Center.

David P. Lockard, of Hampton, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:05:33, while Carrie Wentzel, of Langley, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:18:12.
