Lafayette grad Crew plays in Virginia Wesleyan loss to Emory

Art Crew, a graduate of Lafayette High School, is a senior guard for the Virginia Wesleyan College men's basketball team.

Lafayette High School graduate Art Crew played for Virginia Wesleyan College in a 91-82 loss against Emory on Dec. 30 at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta, the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

The Virginia Wesleyan College senior guard recorded two rebounds for the Marlins, who are 7-3 on the season.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 on the road against Apprentice School.

Crew is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was 2007-2008 Virginia Group AA All-State first team honoree and 2008 Virginia Gazette Player of the Year. The Williamsburg native, an accounting major, is the son of Arthur and Pamela Crew.
