Carrollton Library events, Jan. 9-19

The Carrollton Library released the following events schedule for Wednesday, Jan. 9 to Saturday, Jan. 19:

• On Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. there will be a Book Club meeting. The book to be discussed is the "Big Stone Gap series" by Adrianna Trigiani. During the meeting enjoy video conferencing with Trigiani.

• On Thursday, Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. there will be a Silver Yoga class. According to a press release, "come and enjoy a chair yoga class geared toward those 50 or older. Registration is not required, but it is first come, first served. Please wear comfortable clothing."

• On Saturday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. there will be a Science Saturday: Zoology/Elephant Training event. According to a release, "April Yoder, elephant trainer teaches us about Zoology and her experience training Asian elephants."

• On Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1 p.m. there will be an Anime Club meeting. Come hang out and talk about anime. Refreshments served.

The Carrollton Library in Carrollton is one of the branches of the Blackwater Regional Library. It opened in 1984. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Carrollton Library is at 14362 New Towne Haven Lane, Carrollton.
