Montrose Christian School grad Anderson plays in Virginia victory

Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson scored one point in University of Virginia's 61-52 home win over conference rival University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill on Sunday, Jan. 6, according to the University of Virginia's website.

The freshman guard also recorded four rebounds, two assists and two blocks for the Cavaliers, who improved to 11-3 on the season and 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Virginia's next game is 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 on the road against Wake Forest University.

Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-12 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December 2011. He is a Montrose native.
