Lafayette grad Crew helps in Wesleyan victory

Lafayette High School graduate Art Crew played for Virginia Wesleyan College in its 80-68 win over conference rival Bridgewater College (Virginia) Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Nininger Hall in Bridgewater, the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

Crew recorded five rebounds, twp assists and a block for the Marlins, who improved to 8-4 on the season and 4-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at home against Randolph College.

Crew is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was 2007-2008 Virginia Group AA All-State first team honoree and 2008 Virginia Gazette Player of the Year. The Williamsburg native, an accounting major, is the son of Arthur and Pamela Crew.
