Aaron Small has been named the new city engineer for the city of Williamsburg, effective Jan. 14.

According to a city release, "Small has more than 19 years of civil engineering experience encompassing all aspects of public infrastructure projects. He has also provided management and engineering for numerous land development projects from schools and hospitals to offices and community redevelopment."

Small a Williamsburg native earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. He has been a licensed professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1997.
