Lafayette grad Crew helps in Wesleyan victory

Lafayette High School graduate Art Crew played for Virginia Wesleyan College in its 60-55 win at home over conference rival Eastern Mennonite Tuesday, Jan. 15, at The Batten Center in Virginia Beach, the Wesleyan website reported.

Crew recorded three rebounds and an assist as the Marlins improved to 11-4 on the season and 6-0 in the ODAC.

Crew is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was 2007-2008 Virginia Group AA All-State first team honoree and 2008 Virginia Gazette Player of the Year. The Williamsburg native, an accounting major, is the son of Arthur and Pamela Crew.
