Williamsburg Regional Library events, Jan. 26-27

The Williamsburg Regional Library has released its events schedule for Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 27.

Saturday, Jan. 26, 1 p.m.
W and M Global Film Saturday Matinees — "Kirikou and the Sorceress"
An exquisitely animated African tale of Kirikou, a small boy with extraordinary abilities. Note: Film contains ethnographic nudity (villagers with bare breasts) similar to what's found in National Geographic.

Sunday, Jan. 27, 7:30 p.m.
Fred Hersch Trio
Acclaimed as "one of the small handful of brilliant musicians of his generation" (DownBeat) and "singular among the trailblazers of their art," (New York Times), jazz pianist and composer Fred Hersch has performed on more than 100 recordings.
