College opens registration for workforce coaching course

Registration is open for Thomas Nelson Community College's Needs-Based Coaching to Increase Performance and the Bottom Line class to begin Thursday, Feb. 7 in Hampton.

Classes will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Thursdays, from Feb. 7 through Thursday, Feb. 28. The course is part of the college's workforce development series and is for local business managers and owners.

"The class is an interactive training that provides strategies managers can utilize to successfully coach and motivate employees for peak performance. The four-week class will discuss shaping a motivational workplace, realizing talent in others, giving needs-based feedback, and offering rewards and recognition," according to a college press release.

The course cost is $250.

The college is at 600 Butler Farm Road, Suite 1301, Hampton
