Lafayette grad Crew contributes to Virginia Wesleyan victory

Lafayette High School graduate Art Crew contributed six points in Virginia Wesleyan College's 84-51 home win over Shenandoah on Jan. 23 at Batten Center in Virginia Beach, the Virginia Wesleyan College website reported.

The Virginia Wesleyan College guard also recorded three rebounds and an assist for the Marlins, who improved to 13-4 on the season and 9-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 on the road against Washington and Lee University.

Crew is a senior at Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was 2007-08 Virginia Group AA All-State first team honoree and 2008 Virginia Gazette Player of the Year. The Williamsburg native, an accounting major, is the son of Arthur and Pamela Crew.
