Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson scored a team-high 16 points to lead University of Virginia to a 65-51 home victory over conference rival Boston College Jan. 26 at JPJA in Charlottesville.

Virginia's website reported AndersonĀ also recorded two rebounds and two assists for the Cavaliers, who improved to 14-5 on the season and 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Virginia's next game is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at home against North Carolina State.

Anderson is a freshman guard for the University of Virginia. He is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-2012 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December 2011. The Montross native is the son of Edward and Kim Anderson.
