Montrose Christian School graduate Justin Anderson contributed two points in the University of Virginia's 58-55 home win over conference rival North Carolina State University on Jan. 29 in Charlottesville, the University of Virginia's website reported.

The University of Virginia freshman guard also recorded two rebounds, one assist, one steal and a block for the Cavaliers, who improved to 15-5 on the season and 5-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The University of Virginia's next game is 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3 on the road against the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Anderson is a 2012 graduate of Montrose Christian School in Rockville, where he was Gatorade Maryland Boys Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Anderson also earned first-team Washington Post All-Metropolitan honors for 2011-2012 and was named Most Outstanding Player of the Iolani Classic in Hawaii in December 2011. The Montross native is the son of Edward and Kim Anderson.
