Lafayette grad Crew contributes to Wesleyan victory
Lafayette High School graduate Art Crew played for Virginia Wesleyan College in an 86-63 win at home over conference rival Emory and Henry College on Feb. 2 at The Batten Center in Virginia Beach, Wesleyan's website reported.
Crew recorded three rebounds, two assists and a steal for the Marlins, who improved to 14-6 on the season and 10-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Virginia Wesleyan College's next game is 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 at Christopher Newport.
Crew is a senior guard for Virginia Wesleyan College. He is a 2009 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was 2007-2008 Virginia Group AA All-State first team honoree and 2008 Virginia Gazette Player of the Year. The Williamsburg native, an accounting major, is the son of Arthur and Pamela Crew.
